Krishna Balram mandir also known as ISKCON temple was built by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in late 70ties. ISKCON expanded as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness is a religious organization by Gaudiya Vaishnavas or called as Hare Krishna Movement. A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada who was the founder-Acharya of this International Society for Krishna Consciousness installed the deities and inaugurated this temple in Vrindavan on 20th April 1975. The temple is built in the area of Raman-reti where lord Krishna and Balram performed their pastimes. The temple is completely built up using white marble stone adorned with fine carvings and beautiful pictures. There are three different altars inside the main temple, one having the white marble deities of Sri Gaur Nitai, the second one of Krishna Balram with the deity of Krishna carved out of Black Marble and that of Balram of White Marble and the third one of Radha and Krishna. The temple is admired by the pilgrims for its kirtans by western devotees and the high standards of deity worship practiced in compliance with the panchratriki vidhi.
