For celebrating the 40th foundation day of ISCKON temple, on the 28th March the five day long grand festivities have been organized. To participate in this program thousands of devotees from different parts of the world and the followers of ISCKON society have reached Vrindavan.
This ISCKON temple was established by Shrila Prabhupada in year 1975. To celebrate the completion of 40 years, the temple has been decorated with variety of flowers brought from India and abroad. This five day long program celebration has been planned as:
24th March 2015 – Firstly the foreign devotees will be told about the historical phase of this huge temple. After that cultural program with Manipuri dance and Rasalila performances will be held.
25th March 2015 – In the morning Bhagvat recitation will be there followed by the Bharatnatyam dance performance in the evening program. The book named ‘Vrindavan is my home’ will also be launched the same day.
26th March 2015 – The third day will be celebrated in the form of Braj Rasa Kirtan fair.
27th March 2015 – A grand procession will start from the ISCKON cowshed (Gaushala). In the evening the hymns of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu will be recited followed by the presentation on his life’s transcendental pastimes.
28th March 2015 – In the morning at 1000 hrs., the maha-abhisheka ceremony of Lord Krishna and Balram will be performed which will be followed by the Braj Rasa Kirtan fair. In the evening a movie representing the Rasalila pastime of Lord Krishna will be shown followed by the play presenting the pastimes of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu by the Krishna devotees from Moscow.
