Once in a complete year during the Dhanurmas Mahotsava, the gates of Vaikuntha are opened in the Rangaji temple in Vrindavan. Thousands of devotees were blessed to have the exceptional view of the Vaikuntha darshan on the auspicious occasion of Shukla paksha Ekadashi. On the 1st of January since early morning 0430 Hours, the temple of Rangnathji in Vrindavan was crowded with the devotees to have the auspicious view of the Vaikuntha Darshan. When Lord Godarangmannar placed in his gold and gems studded palanquin passed through the gates of Vaikuntha the whole temple hall was echoed with the loud cheers of the devotees.
The temple decorations for this auspicious occasion started right since midnight 1200 hours when the temple servitors duly decorated the Vaikuntha and after that the puja rituals started at 0200 hours which continued till morning. Early morning at 0600 hours when the gates of Vaikuntha opened the hall was crowded with the devotees for the view of Lord Godarangmannar, who was taken through the gates of Vaikuntha in his gold studded palanquin by the servitors of temple.
